It’s Official – 2020 Top 25 Small Businesses of the Year Award

Lithia Springs, GA - August 9, 2020 – Forrest Marbutt -  FSI was recently named to the Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s Top 25 Small Businesses of the Year, and today we had the honor of being recognized at their annual ceremony.  This was FSI’s 12th year making the list, and today’s awards were unlike any other we’ve been to before.  In the world of social distancing, mask wearing was the hip thing to do, seating was spaced out and limited, and the smell of hand sanitizer lingered in the air as it was used early and often throughout the event.  But we still had a great time, and the new venue would be hard to beat at the Roxy Theater at The Battery. 

As a refresher, each year a panel of judges selects the top 25 from the thousands of small businesses in Cobb County based on various criteria, such as, increase in business, increase in employees, innovation, and community involvement.  Just this past year, FSI has had one of our best business years ever together with an increase in employees and warehouse space.  We recently expanded to a 486,000 warehouse, and with that additional space capacity, we are poised to handle even more growth next year.

Another change to this year’s event was to submit an acceptance video rather than come up on stage for shaking hands and pictures.  Check out our video as we also remind people to get out and vote for one of FSI’s owners, Jason Marbutt, who is in a runoff for Superior Court Judge tomorrow.  Don’t forget, if you’re in Cobb County, vote for Jason Marbutt, Tuesday, August 11th.
