Skyhawks Basketball Game Employee Outing

 

 

Lithia Springs, GA – 5/26/23 - Forrest Marbutt - FSI works hard together, and plays hard together too. When we’re not handling your pick/pack/ship orders, managing your inventory, handling your kitting projects, etc., we’re busy having a good time doing something else fun together. One of our most recent outings was to go see a College Park Skyhawks basketball game.

 

 

The College Park Skyhawks is the NBA’s G League team of the Atlanta Hawks. Basically, a minor league team where players hope to make it to the NBA one day. It’s just down the road from FSI and right next to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. You know, the busiest airport in the world. The games are just as fun as an NBA game, and you get to be a whole lot closer to the action.

 

The Skyhawks won, and we even got some bonus basketball with them going into overtime. That added to the excitement, and gave the family’s kids even more opportunities to dance and get on the jumbotron.

 

Since FSI had such a large corporate group, we were offered special arrangements to shoot free-throws on the court after the game.  We were given other options like corporate recognition during the game or snacks, but we opted for the fun of being on the court.  We each got to take 2 shots.  Some of us made one shot, some might have made both, but whether we hit one, both or none, it was a great time trying and cheering each other on.  Let’s see how this guy faired in one of his shots:    

 

 

I assure you all of our clients’ orders still shipped on time that day.  It was a fun night all around.  Great game, great company, great good, what more could anyone ask for.  Maybe we’ll see some of these guys playing for the Atlanta Hawks one day.  Can’t wait to do it again!
