And the Winner is...

Lithia Springs, GA  - February 12, 2021  - Gifford Pace – We’re highlighting Jeremy White, winner of FSI’s Ideas for Cash program in 2020.  His idea focused on process improvements for one of our larger clients during the fourth quarter of 2020.  That time is typically a very hectic time for this client and this year proved no exception.  His idea was actually a two-part idea to identify specific SKUs that could be easily grouped together for more efficient picking and packing, and then create zones where those orders can be better managed.  It worked!  Performance for that time reported no errors while shipping out 121,435 orders.

Our interview with Jeremy went way beyond the above contribution.  He came to FSI in June 2020 from Ryder Last Mile where he supervised the delivery and returns for a furniture client.  He brought with him not only a passion for helping others, but also a love for the fast-paced environment of logistics.  “We live in a supply and demand economy which requires companies like FSI to always adapt to the needs of the customer,” states Jeremy.  “There’s never a dull moment in what I do.”

He also stated that for him, FSI is a family.  “Across the building, we all look and lean towards each other to make sure FSI is successful in every way possible.  An example of that is when Forrest was on the floor picking orders and then asked me about how we make this better.  That was a big boost for me,” says Jeremy. 

When asked about how he spent his Ideas for Cash reward, Jeremy said “Paid off some bills.”  That should come as no surprise given his level-headed and driven approach to life.  Jeremy earned a Certified Nurse Aid degree while attending Henry W. Grady Hill High School and is on track to complete his bachelor’s degree for Business Management in May 2022 from Atlanta Metropolitan State College.  Jeremy, your dedication to being the best obviously started long ago and is inspiring to all of us at FSI.  Congratulations on your accomplishments and we’re excited to have you as part of our team!
